Heat treatment grid gating system

Do you know how the molten steel is poured into the shell mold of heat treatment gird? The below photo shows you the gating system of typical heat treatment fixtures. Molten steel runs from pouring basin into the runner, and then runs into the shell through the gates. The riser in each side is very important, it can help to avoid casting defects.
